Question Crossing options in uworld

Hello!! a thing intriguing me is that i see that in uworld you dont have the option to cross out answers like kaplan qbank has, does the real USMLE TEST have this option? i really like this option cause it let us concentrate on the options you dont cross. please someone kindly tell me if this is available in the real USMLE test. thanks!!

Yes, it's available on the real test. The method to do it is a little different though. In UW I believe you right click, on the real exam you left click and at the same time move the mouse horizontally over the answer choice you want to cross out.

Isn't it time consuming to be crossing things out?

I agree, it can be, if you do it for every question...but on some questions, actually quite a few questions, it comes down to making an educated guess. In those situations it can be really beneficial in the decision making process to eliminate choices on the screen.

Question

Thanks Frank!!

Frank another question! compared to NBME or uworld, did you find the SAME time left at the end of each block for checking marked questions as in the real USMLE EXAM?
e.g if on uworld blocks you got 10 minutes left did you see the same pattern was repeated on the real deal?

thanks in advance

I actually had less time left on the real exam at the end of each block. It was probably nerves though, as the questions were similar to the later NBMEs. I would typically have ~10 mins left at the end of NBMEs, but on Step I usually had less than 5. So I guess it might be something to consider if you're cutting it close on practice exams.

hi there!
I'm able to cross out the options on UW PC and phone app.
You just have to left click at the end of the option and drag over it, it gets crossed out alright!
