My Experience: 260
Hi... thanks everyone for ur warm wishes..... this group helped me alot its time to payback  
Iím student from Gandhi medical college Hyderabad INDIA...an average student in my medical college. I started my preparation in mid june
i gave a break to my internship and started preparing for step 1... coming to my study plan, it varies btw people, do whatever best suits u... there is no such plan that is universal.....
STUDY Tools:
Kaplan notes +videos except path
Goljans +pathoma videos
U world
First aid

These are more than enough for step 1 .... i started with goljans and finished it in 20days barring a a few chapters ..... then i made a schedule to finish each Kaplan subject in at least 2 weeks with videos.... with this plan i finished my first reading by September 2nd week... then i revised micro biochem path pharma by 15th October with a lot of breaks... ( i think 1st revision is the toughest part in ur study.. i feel depressed during these days and took a lot of breaks....) then at last i subscribed uw for 3 months ... i did it in a slow pace .. i kept a target of doing at least 1 block per day... i finished it by dec 22 ... ( done- subject wise , timed) uw helped me a lot with my preparation ,... i did uw after reading each subject, made notes from it and annotated some points to FA ......the only wise decision that i made during my step 1 preparation is to add pathoma videos to my schedule before doing uw....Iím not good at path... it really helped me a lot and boosted my confidence....
1st round Uw aggregate is 84 %
After finishing my uw i revised micro biochem pharma again....(revision went very bad with breaks)...
FIRST AID: i did some topics in FA while reading Kaplan for 1st time....... i read it very fastly.... i didnt know the importance of FA at that time...... i think i covered 40% of it... but trust me i didnt remember a single point from it, i thought, ď did i read this page before??:PĒ ( my suggestion is to read FA slowly ... so technically i started my FA on jan 1st... it took me 12 days to complete systems only.... i got depressed during this period ... i felt FA was a devil ... but trust me it is normal to have this shock during 1st reading of FA as many others say.......

UW 2ND TIME( finished it in 9 days). then i started uw 2nd time i did 10 blocks random timed , i was getting good percents but was unable to read explanations so then i changed to subject wise time tutor mode... this helped me alot.. i felt like i was revising each subject in a day and able to clear any doubts that i got while reading the question and referred Kaplan and FA for additional points abt that vague Q.. ( which is not possible in timed mode)... # aggregate 96%

SELF ASSESSMENTS:
Nbme 6.... offline.. 170/200(jan 6)
Nbme 5... offline .. 173/200(jan 17)
Online assessments: nbme 11... 258(15 incorrect) on jan 22 ...32 days before the exam
Uwsa 2 .....265+ (17 incorrect)25 days before exam
nbme 15....260 (16 incorrect) 18days before the exam
nbme 13...260(15 incorrect) 2 weeks before the exam
nbme 7....273(5 incorrect) 1 week before the exam
uwsa 1...... 265+(11 incorrect)...4 days before the exam
( no of correct q * 1.4 formula works out well with nbmes)

LAST MONTH: i did
all Self assessments
all nbme offline forms
genetics biostats BS embryology from Kaplan q bank
FA 2nd time( i made notes during this period)
Pharma Kaplan notes....
Uw notes

DAY Before exam:
read FA notes...... thrown all books after evng 7 pm..... ate my dinner and went to sleep at 10 pm... suddenly i started perspiring and felt palpitations .. Didnít sleep until 2 am ... then i took alprazolam even that didnít helped me... i felt like il go to exam without any sleep.. i think i fell asleep at 3 :30 am or 4 ... and i woke up at 6 am... i hardly slept for 2 hrs.... i felt this will effect my result .... rather than thinking abt it and ruining my exam i used my suppression defense mechanism .( that was the reason why i was not depressed before exam :P) .... i went to prometric by 8 am
EXAM: the real exam is very easy, easier than uw and NBMEs ...i was in a very irritated mood and i was not able to concentrate (all this is becoz of lack of sleep, but i tried really hard to focus on q . my advice is to have good sleep)
i got 3 r 4 q that i have no idea in my entire exam... 99% of the questions are from Kaplan UW and FA....... 10 % are the q are really long with graphs etc... But time management is not a problem if u have sufficient time while duing uw...
I took a break for every block... for last block i lost 3min in the break....
Donít worry.. Exam will b easy ... donít see it as a monster...

This groups helped me a lot with my preparation.. Thanks to everyone.....

yes I took UW SA 1 but it was at the beginning of my studies, took 216.

actually, I did NBME13 and UWSA 2 at the same day, to simulate the full length exam, and found UWSA to be a bit harder but I guess it's my bias, cause I was already done 4 blocks of NBME and felt really tired

Personally I found 15 a bit tougher than other. it had much more pictures than NBME 16 and 13 and several wtf questions.

yea, that's what I'm planning for the last week, thanks
