Goljan what if we dont do goljan for patho

Hi every one
Sounds like 100 times repeated question..

Goljan or no Goljan?

I am planing to take exam in may ..i have finished my first reading of Kaplan series and videos
and now i am afraid because i didn't do Goljan when everyone is saying you can't get thru thy exam without Goljan
I can't do it i guess as I don't have much time left
have to do q banks and FA as well
i am really worried if i am gonna start Goljan now it will effect my questions n FA time..i have read Kaplan patho and video though..can i make it to 99 without Goljan
anyone helpppppppppppppppppppp

Default To sum it up ..

To be honest, Goljan's resources are overhyped. This statement is based on the sole fact that many people who scored in the 99 range had not used any of those resources. I'm one of them. If people can get to that score without using any of those resources, then they are not essential. May be useful yes, but essential no.

You can try pathoma instead. Is cheap and it comes with the book.
I did it and I am feeling very confident with pathology now. I took an NBME and pathology bar went from the lower performance to the higher side after watching the videos.

Do pathoma...i just started it today after seeing my low scores in path in most of nbmes....did the first chapter today and loved it, he makes things so simple...wish i did it earlier and i wouldn't have wasted my 800 dollars for my exam fee but ah well, you live and you learn

Nah its not expensive at all....about 100 dollars for 3 months access to the videos and the book they mail to you....not sure how many pages the book is cause it just got sent today so should have it in the next few days....there are 37 hours worth of videos

I like it A LOT....really cleared a lot of concepts...its more then just reading he goes after the big picture...his general path and blood chapters are the best followed by cardio chapters...some chapters aren't as good as the others in that he just reads from the book but this is the minority....he also explains all the histopath pictures really well....i wish i would have done it sooner but I'm still glad i did it when i did...

i have one more chapter left to complete, basically i did one chapter a day for about 20 days....im planning on taking another nbme soon so i should know how much i improved

definitely recommend.
