plab is for entering the house officer range positions , mrcp stands for member of the royal college of physcians - this is the necessary examination to pass to enter into specialist training - ie internal medicine etc.

im not exactly very sure - but confirm from www.mrcp.org ..

I am from Pakistan as well, here is what I know.
With MRCP, you can get jobs in UK as well as Pakistan. If you do your FCPS part one as well and get a TMOship in a ward who's head is also MRCP/FRCP, your training is counted towards both FCPS and MRCP. Private hospitals like Shifa International do hire on the basis of MRCP.

About Plab, plab 1 is easy but for 2, you will have to spend alot of money to go to UK, take Swami course etc. Don't you think it will be better to use that money for getting USCE??? or go to New Zealand and take NZREX? Atleast your steps wont go to waste.

also u have mentioned about the test for new zealand, when can i take it? i mean i have jus graduated and studying for step 1 without doing my house job, how can i be eligible for it and what the books that r used for it like can we use usmle step 1 books for new zealand exams too?

As far as I know you are eligible for MRCP one year after your graduation, doesn't mean you need to do your housejob, but there has to be a gap of one year.

Abour New Zealand, they have their own set of exams but when you do your USMLE step 1 and 2, or PLAB 1 and 2, you are exempted from the initial exam and can go straight to nzrex, which is their version of CS, and I hear its pretty tough.
