Default Drug toxicities and usmle step 1

I'm starting prep for Step 1. I'm going over pharmacology in FA. The biggest problem I have is remembering drug toxicities. For example in the FA neurology section trying to remember drug toxicities of Epilepsy drugs is becoming quite painful. I'm trying to think how they would be represented in clinical vignette. My thinking patterns go like this:

I have no problems for questions arranged like this
A blabla pt. with past medical hx of epilepsy, presents to the ED with symptoms of (insert drug toxicity symptoms of epileptic drug) What is drug x?

These questions are easy, as the vignette has the symptoms and I can passively recognize the symptoms and then the conclude the drug. I have more problems with questions that tell you the drug and then ask for side effects. I feel like I lose a lot of time trying to figure these questions out. Is there any tips you guys can give me?

Tell me about! I'm struggling with learning drugs, let alone drug toxicities. I have a problem with micro too.

For the drug toxicities, I just remember the major ones for each drug/drug group. The minor ones I think are best learned for each group as a whole. I have to see if this works out for me. I would also recommend referencing a textbook to understand a little bit more about why so and so drug has certain toxicities. You could do this for the drugs you're struggling with.

Default Do the other way

While studying the drugs and their toxicities, try the other way round i.e study the toxicities first and then the drug. The second time when you study try memorizing the drug name. The third time you will improve, do it alternately Toxicity-drug, Drug-toxicity, until you reach perfection

Guys the best way to remember the drugs, toxicities (and the bugs) and familiarise with all the different types of questions is taking qbanks IMO. You can read and re read but you'll find that many drugs and substances share side effects and other similarities, so the best way to know and learn, is taking qbanks and get some flashcards, you can use apps like quizlet where you'll find A LOT of good USMLE flashcard already made by someone else, or make your own.
