Question 2nd check marked ones end up improving score?

Im reaching almost 60% of uworld
and i find something curious,
that when i mark questions to go back after completing the 46qs changing the answer on some of those questions end up IMPROVING MY SCORE, has anyone experienced this? is it normal or am i doing something wrong?

when im doing the questions i read them carefully come to an answer and move on, but when i go back to the marked ones i find myself realizing what the question really wanted and changed my answer (most times to a correct answer)
im fearing this would have a negative outcome on my actual step1 test...
is this normal? please someone enlighten me here

yes many times i too land up re-correcting my marked questions. When i read them again most of the times its like i would not have read the vignette properly so would have marked the answer wrong. Many a times i land up marking and correcting it as i will not be sure with the answer , will be stuck with two answers, but most my change is from correct to incorrect ones. So i worked on this and now i make it a point to read the question properly and be firm with my answer. Am still working on it
In your case you seem to be changing incorrect to correct that's a good thing, but try figuring out why you marked the questions wrong in first place. As i understand questions stems in actual exam are very lenghthy and we may not find the time to go back and read them again to correct them. Perhaps someone who has already taken the exam may through a light on this

Wink

thank you, i kinda get nervous and think that that is the problem, i try to come up with an answer and move on, 2nd time i check im under pressure so i guess my attention span increases, and out of the 15 or so i mark, 2 or 3 i change which end up being correct, of course this scares me cause youre right in the real test i might not have time to go back
ill change my approach, hopefully i get better on this
thanks for your reply!!
