Unhappy Step 1 date 2nd time quarter extention

hey everybody. Is it possible to extend quarter of your choice, though i know its not. i am stuck with in a big prob, due to some personal probs i cant appear in my own quarter and even if i extend my quarter i will not be able to take exam in that coming quarter. Is there any other way to get out of this.
any help will be appreciated.
Regards!

Cool

I think the only oer way would be to extend the quarter and wait till that eligibility period finishes, so you can start afresh (pay again for step 1.)

I'm not sure if other options exist but I will be extending my quarter as well as I don't think I'll be ready,

I checked with a friend of mine and she said the same. She didn't take her exam in the 1st or subsequent quarter, so the only option she has now is to pay the step 1 fee and sign again.

Like qirkergaard said, if you dont take the test within your quarter or extended quarter, you have to re-apply & pay again.

I have a question, my extended quarter recently ended & since I wasnt ready, I didnt take the exam. So I cancelled with prometric in due time as you're supposed to. But I didnt cancel my eligibility period. Is that a problem? Cause now when I log into OASIS, they show my old eligibility period. Can I re-apply while they still have my old quarter in their system or should I call Ecfmg & cancel my quarter 1st??

I think it's be best if you call/email them to close your eligibility period. Just to be on the safe side.
