Stop Your NBME score is wrong

How did you know that if you get 159 questions correct out for the 200 questions in Form 7 equals a score of 636/252!!!

In fact, the official NBME scores, do not give fractions less than 10, means you can only get 630 or 640, never 636!

I think your NBME prediction is completely wrong and you have ruined your chance of really assessing yourself, because you already have seen the questions.

I suggest you go and do an official online NBME form before knowing for sure your assessment.

That makes no sense at all. It's fractions of 10.

Well I calculated on the basis of the site nbme.org . on this site, on the left hand side in "sample performance report", where score 800 = 200, so basically each q carries 4 marks. calculating 159*4=636. looking at the chart its between 251 and 254. anyways nbme online is not a neccesity, any one uworld or nbme online will suffice. NBME offline are just for practice.

The logic of each question carrying a mark of 4 is not true. Because I took NBME 6 with extended feedback. I got 162/200, 510/225. So by your formula, I should have gotten a 648 (162*4).

I've read a lot of the forums and seen a lot of ways to play with the numbers. With my marks, the one that makes sense is multiplying the number of questions you got correct by 1.4 (162*1.4 = 226, more accurately 162*1.38 = 225). So your 159*1.4 = 222.6.

I just don't think any of us will crack the NBME grading system.

Your UWSA1 is good and you are somewhere around this number however, your NBME 7 is not reliable. The offline stuff has wrong answer keys, and you don't know how much your X/200 would be in terms of the three digit. In my case I did NBME 7 and got 150/200 and ended up getting 216/460. so you can see. Either repeat NBME 7 online if you haven't memorozed the asnwers or do another NBMEs like 5 and 6

You are hurting yourself by doing the offline NBME.
You lost the Golden oppertunity of really assessing your performance by the most reliable NBME Form which is Form 7 (see details).
The weight for each question in the NBME Form is not equal. The scoring system is not known. You cannot speculate.
The NBME Forms have been the most reliable predictors of USMLE Scores over the years, to the extent that some people call it "it's like magic". You will completely lost that performance assessement if you do the offline pirated version.

thanx for all the gr8 advice. I might have been misguided down the line all this time.
Anyways will it suffice if I continue with UWSA online. I still have got form 2 left.
Wen should I give it consider if my exam on 22nd March. What is the reliability of UWSA compared to NBME.

NBME is more reliable in than UWSA.
Do another NBME Form. Do it now and see where you stand.

The whole point of online NBME is for the statistical calculations to be applied to your score like they are to your performance in the real exam. From what I've been reading online, NBME is the closest assessment to the real exam.
