DNA Globin Chain Synthesis Chromosomal location

Hi

Clarifying for synthesis of globin chain

alpha gene at chromosome 16
beta gene at chromosome 11.
Am I correct ?

I read one notes and mention is different.

you need not remember chromosome Numbers. Just know that there are four genes for alpha globin and two for beta, and resulting problems from the loss or mutation in these genes: alpha and beta thalassemias.
