Stop Stop Posting NBME Questions

to whoever it may apply (without any offense),
Please don't post NBME questions here. I don't know how many of you are with me, but I am leaving those questions for assessing myself. Don't want to spoil those vital questions just like this. If you want to discuss it (as you are already done with your reads and all)...make a new thread or request admin for something only for NBME. But plz plz plz don't post it in the general forum. Even if they are from form 1 or 2. Many use UW as a learning tool, NBME is the only thing left for assessing oneself. I hope you will understand.

Thank you .

I don't agree with you. I'm not going to take NBME for financial reasons right now so I actually appreciate questions here. Most of them say in the title 'NBME' so you know what's in there. Just don't open that thread if you don't want to see it. I appreciate the questions and also reading how people reason their answers.
I understand your point of view, but you have the option to not click on the link with those questions!

Cool

heyyy...even I am not doing them online...well may be only 1. I will do it offline. I don't have money for that. But if you do 1-2 question here and there, you are just loosing the chance of doing it all together and then solving them and asses yourself.I know I have the option of not clicking them, but sometimes it is either too tempting or they don't have a headline with "NBME".And I also love to read other's input.I requested a diff thread so that I can go to that thread when I will be doing nbme s.

If you are thinking not doing it online, it's fine. But do it offline in a timed mood.Like you can watch the time by yourself and then see how many of them you got right. people posting the questions are at that point of prep, but not everyone.

If you don't have the offline nbme s,collect them bro.they are everywhere.good luck.

I agree, if the OP feels that he/she is tempted, then I guess they'll jsut have to resist looking. I think majority of the threads with the questions do state 'NBME' in their titles. Also, most of us try and learn the mechanism behind the answer, we don't memorize the answer. So it shouldn't matter as it shouldn't lead to a straight-recall.

I think it's fine to discuss them and can help you figure out the explanations for difficult questions. However, I agree with the OP's point about spoiling the questions for everyone else. I think as long as people state that it's an NBME question so it's clear, then those of us who haven't taken the exam can wait until after we take it to look at those threads. My suggestion is therefore that people clearly label the thread NMBE #...Question #... so that people who want to read it can, and those who don't want to can avoid them.

At last, someone!!! People, I am not against posting NBMEs. Just post it in one thread, so that people can come and then see this like forever and forever, in stead of repeating the same problems again and again....gosh!!! but thank you for your inputs.
Peace out.
