Default derma for step 1..?

Hello everyone. .can some one plz tell how much derma we have to know for step 1..? I reviewed goljan skin disorders and found it very extensive.. wondering if FA skin pathology enough..? Recent step 1 exam takers..any suggestions..?

It's a relatively small section. I struggled with it initially too, but after spending a few days organizing everything, it became much easier. You don't wanna miss easy points on the step 1.
From what I've heard and seen in uworld, here's what I think:
1) Definitely know the top 3 malignant skin cancers and their precursor lesions
2) Infectious skin disorders. Good tie-in with microbiology
3) The derm HSR reactions (Hives, Contact dermatitis, Pemphigus vulgaris, etc)
4) Sulfa-allergies (SJS and TEN)
5) Derm changes in systemic diseases (Acanthosis nigricans, Dermatitis herpetiformis, and so on)

You should also be able to distinguish between Albinism and Vitiligo. Psoriasis seems to be a favorite too.

I attached an outline I made back during my derm module. It might help (or maybe not). Either way, good luck

Here's a rule: Whenever you're unsure about how much you need to know, do uworld. Helps A LOT.
