The NBME is for assessment... it sounds like you're trying to take an NBME to mitigate your fears.

If you truly feel unready, there's nothing wrong with postponing your exam. Generally speaking, a +/- 10 from an NBME is reasonable.

I agree with doc12345. Those are the most recent. NBME 16 is the toughest i've done by far.

Some people say the real exam is a mix of multiple nbmes, but I'd see where you stand with nbme 16 first then decide on what other form you'd prefer to write.

Since you don't feel ready enough, just do uworld and learn from explanations and read through FA. If you haven't annotated your FA from uworld, this would be a good time.

good luck!

to be honest everyone feels like they are not ready until you take an nbme and see where you stand...obviously the material is so vast, that you will never be fully ready but nbmes are good to give you an idea of where you stand. again no one can be 100% ready thats why you never hear anyone get a 292, which is the highest you can get.

Yes apart from assessing myself I'm relying on them to give me confidence.

I've heard that the real score is between nbme 15 and 13 . but I didn't want to leave out 16. Is it available offline. 16 I mean

if those are the areas that you are deficient in, then you could use them. I personally haven't read any of them so i can't really comment.

And if had to select a third NBME? Which one would it be?

Most probably 13. Most say to go for the newer ones if you are under a time crunch.
