Question IMG Medical Student Study Plan Help!!!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to get someone help/advice on my study plan. Planning to take step 1 in Jan 2015. I am half way through medical school now, and still having full time classes

I don't really have a good basic science foundation
My goal is 260+

This is the study material I have:
- Kapla OnlinePre Video Course including the lecture notes and access to qBank till Jan.
- Access to uWorld till Jan
- FA 2014
- Pathoma + video access
- Dr. Najeeb video access
- Goljan book and audio
- HY Neuroanatomy
- HY Embryology
- Micro Made Ridicuolsly Simple
- BRS Physiology
- Conrad Fischer Ethics book

Planning to start my studying in a few days time, while still attending school (trying to not fail that), taking care of family, etc... Trying to get few hours a day, and doing block of study a few weeks during holiday/school breaks.

What should I start with, an order, priority, what has worked for others? I was thinking of first doing all the kaplan videos and KLN, since my access to them is online for only 3 months then it expires.

All the help is extremely appreciated.

I think since you're taking a Kaplan course, they will first give you a diagnostic test and that should point out your weak subjects. You can then plan accordingly. Also Kaplan has a fixed pattern of subjects (at least for the live lectures), from what I've heard, so you may want to follow that pattern as well.

Thanks for the reply.
The kaplan course I am doing, is just access to their normal online pre-recorded videos plus qbank.
I did kaplan's free online assessment, and I did soooo bad, got 30%!!!! I am so depressed about it. This is with out studying at all, and I am half way done medical school. I have to really pay close attention to kaplan videos and try to build a good knowledge base.
