Unhappy got a 92 in step 1,really depressed

hi,

Got my step 1 score yesterday, its 92(217) was expecting a high score.really depresses and frustrated. Is my score too low to get into internal medicine?

I am an IMG graduated in june 2009,after graduation i did not pursue any clinical experience as i was planning to take my step 1 immediately. But unfortunately due to some family issues it took me time to start my preparation & at last started my prep in august 2010 and gave my exam this march 2011.These 8 months i was full time studying.
Now wanna take my step 2 CK within 3 to 4 months as i wish to match for 2012 residency program.I need your guidance and advice on what to do next.Really confused and frightened as im gonna have a big gap more than 2 yrs where i did nothing(no hospital experience or work experience) between my graduation and residency in my CV.Will this be a problem? or should i go for some clinical experience before my step 2 CK? But i feel that i wont be able to take CK within 4 months if i work and study at the same time. What should i do.
Plzzzzzzzzzzzz help me to sort out what to do.Your advice is highly appreciated.

Hello Impossible! I was thinking about you the other day. I always used to read your posts and replies on USMLEWORLD forum and I haven't seen you anymore. I'm taking my exam on July 1st. I would LOVE to get a 92! Of course you will match. ;o)

impossible

dude chill ur score is great !!....... your 2 year gap ! u have to try to show other things to cover this up ....like volunteer work somewhere ,or online CME like www.emedicine.com ! and things like.....i think there is a thread not a week old in general forum where the staff have given the options to cover it up .....do search and find it....its useful for u

Now dont waste time on work ! u should try to get a great score and that needs full focus. working now in the last t four months is not gonna make a big diff in the applicaton but if u try to work and study at the same time maybe ur score will get affected ...also u have to do Cs n externship ...so just focus on that !
