I am really tensed cuz it is not getting better and this is the 1st time that i am reading FA, I have done Kaplan two times.. these days I am doing only one block per day and I can't do anything more than that and 15 pages from FA....!!

It's normal to have 50ish percentage in UW initially.

I noticed that both of you did not do Kaplan Qbank, I suggest you leave UW for now, go do Kaplan Qbank and then come back and do the UW and you'll see that your percentage increases to the sixties.

Norma

Uworld starting - average 50-55 %
By the time u finish 65-80% .......so keep a target and do it !! Use FA to reinforce the weak areasand borderline topics

ok so i forgot to mention that i did kaplan qbank most of it ... so my 1st 2 days i got around 40 and then my score jumped to 60 for one day and then i got above 50 in most of my tests and then i got 60 in 4 consecutive tests, but then i am getting 50 as average... I want to know when should we expect the score to be consistent and rely on the score.. i have still 30 more blocks to do.

it is very discouraging how they have changed the title of my post using words "bad performance" everyone in this forum says that they started with 50 percent in uworld and they gradually did better and its named "slow and bad performance"

well i didn't revise the qbank, just read it once.. but i think i should do it again..
my score again came 50 percent.
i think i just need to revise these things a little more..

and no i have not done any self assesments so far. i will do them after i finsih uworld! i think i have some weak points which i need to concentrate more and lift my game!
and yeah you are right, my recall power is lacking... but isn't 50 a normal score at start, i am still left with 70 percent of uworld.

Recall power lacking - either do tons of Qs ,or else understand the concepts and then memorize FA
50 % in the beginning is the norm ....but there should be gradual improvement .....that should be the goal from 50 to 70 ! ... Keep revising and reconceptualizing and memorizing dude........you can do it...........and dont frgt to take plenty of breaks.....dont get burned out and score high 90s dude

Are you doing random timed blocks in UWorld? I haven't started UW yet, but I have been doing Kaplan random timed. I noticed I was missing things straight from FA that I just hadn't memorized, so what I've been doing is reading FA chapter thoroughly, then doing subject based in Kaplan. For instance, I do 10 to 15 questions immuno, review with FA, do another 10-15, review, etc. I'm just using this to hammer home the concepts. I'm going to do this for everything, then do UW random. If you're not improving, maybe you need to do subject wise and figure out where your weak points are and hammer those, then go back to do them randomly.

i am doing random and timed, i got 60 four times in these 14 tests as well. i want to do timed and random cuz this is how exams are going to be...
if i do subject wise right after doing the same chapters, it will simply be fresh in my head and it may kill the purpose to test ur memory... so this is why i am going to stick with it... btw i think i will improve next week.
i think i should do kaplan q bank as well plus i am thinking about readin the same topics from kaplan as well, the same ones that i will read from FA each day... this will cover High yield and concepts as well.
when are u taking ur exam n how many times have you done kaplan lecture notes
mine is in mid july

salz;
a member of this forum gave me a great advice month ago that i'm using untill now.he said :the questions that u get wrong, when u go studying about them next time, don't just study the one u got wrong, instead try to study and understand everything about it.so next time they put something about this subject in other context u will get it right.

remember that we learn almost a 40% from Qbank, mary said when u r doing questions,if u find something completely new or very high yield that u wish to remember a next time, u must write it in a peice of paper or in FA.
and noothan is right, the average is 50 % for everybody initially.and in the UW net site they prevent that too.
good look.

I didn't use Kaplan lecture notes; I'm mostly using FA, gunnertraining, and Kaplan Qbank. My date was originally May 18, but now I pushed it back to mid-June. Studying is going slower than I hoped, but I can take it as late as july if I absolutely need to (ideally I would like to take it by June).
