Some of you may recognize me, since i was a previous regular visitor to the site before i started preparing seriously for my exam

I had recently given my USMLE step 1. I got 256/99 :)

I have written down my usmle experience which is quite lengthy. So I typed it and have made it into PDF.

You can download the attached PDF File to read it.

Hope this will be helpful to you.

Do mail me in case of any queries.

All the best for your exams :)

hai i would like to noe hw much u used first aid book,is it very important, cos lot of stuff in kaplan is not there in first aid, high yield stuff
Well, i have mentioned about it in my post. I used FA extensively especially towards the end. Its good if you start adding points to FA from kaplan as it is really helpful. FA used as such is inadequate for the exams :notsure:

Hey Bassa

Dude after u put the FA into spiral binds ..how did u add extra notes to it ?? i mean post it notes ??
Dear Noothan... I didnt put my FA into spiral binds. It was in an office type of file where the central bind can be removed whenever you need to add pages.

You can add post it notes, but some topics like pathology and biochemistry require extensive additions so using post it notes is not a good idea... :)

Well, thats an idea.. Unless you have a very very very big handwriting i dont think 2 files are needed.. Just one willl suffice :D

Saranam in FA is good.. Just you need to keep on adding stuff to it

What does 226/99 mean ?
I didn't get the pattern of scoring.
PS: I am new to the whole concept of USMLE actually. :)
Its actually 256/99 :)
The usmle score has got 2 components.. a 3 digit score and a 2 digit score...
The 3 digit score is the actual score you have got after writing your exam.. the 2 digit score also known as the percentile score reveals the percentile your score lies in.. In short it compares your score with respect to others who have given the exam that day  statistics in full flow ;)
