You have to read atleast FA, but multiple times.
Not only read but correlate your questions from uworld to FA and make additions of points which are not available in FA.
Read it 10 times.

In my opinion u should relate every question in UW with FA and make notes on the FA is better so in the end u only have one book to review again and again! They gave much space to annotate if not stick some sticky notes or pages!
Thats what I did..

İf your average is 50 you should read kaplan books 1 more time. Fa is very good comprehensive review but it works as long as you understand the concepts well. This is my opinion but if you think you understood the concepts well read fa. Your score should increase to 70s.

Thumbs Up

If you're thinking of getting a Qbank (which you should) consider USMLE-Rx. If you look at other forum discussions, it's definitely one of the best ones out there. We got a discount code for it at my school. It's valid until 6/5/14 (tomorrow!) and the code is SUNYDOWNQMAX1 which is good for a 1 year subscription for $99. You can also buy it now and activate up to 6 months later if you prefer to wait.
