Unhappy NBME Form 12 Score 500/92

Hey every one..
I did my Form 12 NBME today and scored a 500..scored an 81% and even then from the two digit score correlation it comes to a 92!!..I have been scoring a good 99 on UWorld..my scores has been fluctuating between 67% to 86% on it..which is a 99..
I dunno if I should actually go ahead and take the test or not, I was planning to take it on the 11th of may..
let me know if u guys have any suggestions..how to increase my score and if I should go ahead and register for the test?

I don't see why you should. You have 2 weeks!! You can even boost your score by up to 20 pts, by just focusing on questions and FA the next 2wks most would say.
Don't use UW to predict your score, use it to learn, don't focus on what your percent is there, takes away from knowing that u need to learn from it/detailed explanations.
I know folks who got 50% on UW and ended up with a 99.

I agree - it's one NBME - and I hear the actual exam has more immunology and genetics than forms 11 or 12. I'd maintain the path you're on and just focus extra hard for the next few days...

Yeah - thats a good suggestion from Hope2pass - most people seem to like 7 better as a correlator. I'd do that and register - remember - the longer you postpone the further you get over hte peak and then it's all downhill after that - trust me - it happened to me...

Exactly! I suggest you do NBME 7 and see what your score comes out to be. Most of the time it correlates to +/- 5 !! So if you're happy with your result - go ahead and sign up for your exam. If you want to improve further just extend your date. Also, if your scores are not too far off from what you want on the real exam then in 2 -3 weeks (till may 11th) you have enough time to work on your weaknesses! Good luck.

I am on the 70th percentile on uworld...I am thinking of doing a one week review of First Aid and then doing my NBME 7 and then I might schedule a date?..the weird part is I got only 36 wrong on the NBME 12 which makes it 81% I don't know how much more i am supposed to score

Remember its not scored by how many you got wrong. Harder questions give more points than easy questions. Which is why someone else can prob miss 50 and get same score as you did. They might have missed easy ones, and got all the harder questions

Keep working at it, go hard with FA and maybe even listen to some sections of DIT, if you have it.
