Clock 8 Hour simulation

Hey guys I wanted to run a 8 hour simulation this week and was wondering where I should do it? The libraries close by aren't open for 8 straight hours. Is it okay to do from home? I wanted to avoid the comfort of my room though.
Any suggestions?

you should do a simulation run at the prometric center before hand. I think they provide one before your exam .. you just have to sign up and its for free as well.

I thought I read that the simulation is 4 hours, but I'm not sure. Please let us know what you find out!

Sorry, guess I was wrong about it being free. Its a paid service and it is not 8 hours long! But it will give you a good idea of how the computers and enviornment of the test center will be like on the day of the exam!

"Step 1/Step 2 CK Practice Session at a Prometric Test Center

If you have obtained your scheduling permit for Step 1 or Step 2 CK, you can register to take a practice session for this exam at a Prometric test center. You must pay a fee to Prometric for this service. The material used for the practice sessions at Prometric test centers is shorter than the actual USMLE examinations and is based on older software and content.

If you would like to take a practice session at a Prometric test center, you must register for the practice session and obtain a practice session scheduling permit. You can register for a practice session on the USMLE website. Information on the fee for the practice sessions is also available on this site.

When you register for a practice session, you will be asked for the Scheduling Number and Candidate Identification Number from your Step 1 or Step 2 CK scheduling permit. You should allow seven business days for issuance of your practice session scheduling permit. Once your scheduling permit is available, ECFMG will send a notification to the e-mail address in your ECFMG record; this message will include instructions for accessing the electronic practice session scheduling permit using IWA."

hi guys
the simulation at the prometric cost $50 and it is only 3 blocks of 50 questions.
one more thing,a lot of the free sample question are in these 3 blocks, but it very good to get familiar with the process,to see the location, they always give you the option to take it in the same center that you gonna take your real test.
at the end, they give just your % of correct answer.
