Default Step 1 score in 2014

Hi everyone
I got a step 1 score of 229 in may 2014. as an IMG i want to know how good that score is for getting US residency?

hey could you tell me your nbme score, when you took your exam and your exam experience.

i gave mine on 29th may, was very tough for me. my last nbme (2weeks be4 exam) was 204.

just wana see whether i would atleast get a pass score.

i am also an img, i think your score is gud for internal medicine and neurology if u back it up with reaserch and observership

My exam was tough..I didnt do nbme..I did uworld only..not sure whether to retake step1 or not

for IMGs its very difficult to get residency even with high scores..i dont find it odd to improve scores to better the chances of getting residency..

I think you should be fine. Perhaps if you have doubts, try to score very high on your step 2 scores.

Once u pass the exam u can't take it again
by the way ur score is above the average so congrats

yes. that was my point. otherwise his score is ok.

haha thats the problem its a one time exam

anyway I guess your score is just above the US average so you should definitely continue and make a good CV.
