Exam-Results got my score today....

Gave my exam on 21st April, got my scores today 213/90.
Truthfully speaking I wasn't expecting 99 for sure, was aiming 94-95 but
Is there any chance to get in IM, I am IMG graduated in 2010, having green card
Starting for step 2 tomorrow itself, will try to better there...

Get USCE and some good LoRs. The GC puts you at an advantage. You have a good chance of getting into IM. Best of luck.

Exactly. USCE stands for US clinical experience. It can be an elective or an observership etc. Have you already done any of those? If not then try to avail any clinical opportunities available in your area. They'll also help with your Step 2 CK and CS prep.

Congrats on your score...it's still very good. I wouldn't worry.
What was the national average stated on your score report? 221 and SD of 24?

Every hospital has their own requirement. However If you apply 6-8 months before the starting date, that's good. Less than that might not work out. Clinical clerkship is way better than a research elective for most specialties. But remember that there are some fields (e.g. radiology) where there isn't much clinical work to do and therefore a research elective carries more weightage. If you tell me about the field you want to apply to, I will be better able to guide you.
