There are tons of posts that cover this, so I suggest you look them up.

For starters, it all depends on your background knowledge. If it's weak, then Kaplan is what most start off with (both videos and lecture notes.) The only exception would be Pathology, where you'd be better off using Pathoma (or Goljan).

Follow that up with reading FA, then doing a Qbank or 2, and then FA revision again and NBMEs in between.

Thanx! I really appreciate the effort!

Just don't waste time memorizing or going into detail for Kaplan LN/Videos. The point of Kaplan is to get you to have a general overview of all the topics, so when you get to first aid and question banks you know what they are talking about and begin to try and memorize those specific facts. I would suggest only going through Kaplan once, anything more than that is a complete waste of time.

Hope this helps,
Good luck

I am thinking of buying the Kaplan 2013-2014 lecture notes from amazon but I cant find the corresponding videos. For all of those who have used kaplan LN and videos, are the vids neccesary to understand the kaplan lecture notes or can you get away with just studying from the lecture notes. I am not asking what is better because i assume that having both is better but if i just buy the lecture notes with no lecture videos will I be wasting my money? do they both compliment each other and both are needed to understand the kaplan course?
please help

thank you

The videos are not necessary to read KLN. The KLN can be done as a stand alone resource. The videos simply try and explain whats in the LN in a big picture type of way, not really adding anything further. Some of the videos are just the lecturer simply reading the KLN
Like you said, if you have both the videos and KLN --> great package, but only having the KLN, by no means puts you at a disadvantage.

I would disagree. Kaplan has some excellent professors teach Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology (especially Dr. Kudrath), and even Immunology for that matter of fact. So I would say videos for these subjects will greatly help you, if your knowledge in them is weak. I hear Anatomy is good too but I didn't watch the videos for that.
