Immunology What else needs to be done to master immunology?

Hello all,

There has been a lot of speculation recently on changes to immunology on the USMLE step 1, even though I have searched the USMLE website and didn't see any such specific announcement. They just said there is a modification of test contents but nothing specific on immunology.

Anyway my exam is next week and I read only FA for immunology. I did a block of UW immunology today after a quick revision of immunology and scored 84% (random, timed).

My question - is there anything else I need to study for immunology apart from FA. Is it enough?????
For those that have already taken the exam, which book or resource did you think was very helpful in answering USMLE-style exams on immuno.

I do not want to get carried away with my 84% score on UWorld as most of the questions were easy and straightforward.

Thanks in advance

Kaplan Lecture Notes is good for immunology, highly recommended.
If you want to go even deeper, grab one of the books mentioned here

Because you are so close to the exam, I don't recommend starting a new review book. I would suggest just solidifying the info that's in FA, you'll be fine!

I agree. Starting a new book at this stage would lead to nothing but confusion. Just relax. They cannot possibly have invented new immunology for the exam. You already know everything. And your scores show it.

Thanks to AbuNoas, PatelMD and eesfee for the replies.

I guess I will just have to stick with what i already know since I dont consider immunology a weak area for me.

Maybe after my exam I will let you guys know if the immunology was anything out of this world.

Thanks again

Also, you should take NBME's if you haven't already just to make sure you are reaching your targeted score.

FA is just enough for the Immunology, i wont recommend a new book because your exam is just next week... with the 84% of it.. u are mastering.. maybe u miss those 15% because of some concepts, just re-read the FA over that subject and you will be fine.

As patel said, i would recommend a NBME...

GOOD LUCK my friend... you will do great...
