Question How does Estrogen reduce folate absorption?

How does estrogen lead to reduced Folate absorption and others drugs that can do so?

Estrogen inhibits the uptake of monoglutamate in jejunum.
Monoglutamates are converted to methylterathydrofolate (circulating form of folate).

source: Goljan RR (3rd ed) page 206

So increased levels of estrogen results in folate deficiency.
