Question Am about to start, should I do Robbin's?

I am about to start.
Should I first read text (ie Robbins and read Kaplan side by side)
Should we use Robbins review pathology MCQ?

don't bother your brain with big text books, stick to the kaplan notes or to those note books mentioned in my site. you need to solve as much mcqs as possible whatever the source especially UW and Kaplan.

goodluck

Since Dr. Brian Jenkins from DIT stated that its good for us if we read at least the 1st 6 chapters on Robbins before we even start his course, i've been doing just that and i can't let go. I already read those 1st 6 chapters, but because I understood so well after reading those, i sorta want to keep on reading the rest of the chapters. I can literally zoom through Kaplan or Goljan RR, because after reading this book it has given me a good enough foundation.

Maybe it is too much for board prep. But I think it all depends on your prior knowledge. Who knew that the best thing would have been to read these large books while in med. Unfortunately, most of my med school teachers tested us on their own source of knowledge, and we didn't have much time either to read those big books cover to cover. But this does give you an excellent base. Still, may be too much for board "REVIEW". Goljan has already taken notes for us from this big book.

Surely do the Robbins review of pathology. It's a very good qbook.

It all depends on how good you formed your foundation in med school. As Dr. Conrad Fischer said in one of Kaplan lectures: You cannot review what you haven't viewed before.

If you haven't done a specific subject properly in your med school, there's no point in jumping to the review books.
