USMLE Scores Correct questions per block of 50 to get 99

I just ought to know how many questions should I get correct in a block of 50, to score a minimum 99!
On average I am getting about 38-40 questions in a block of 50..I am doing my UWSA and NBME a week later.. I just want do them well so that I can face my exam with lots of confidence in two months time..

How many questions to get wrong to get 99 score?

There's no magic number of questions that you get right out of 50 to get your 99. It can be 30 and it can be 45 and or any number in between.

There are several factors playing here:
- first the commercial qbank you are doing is certainly different from the real exam.
- second, the USMLE exam is not scored by the number of questions you get right. The formula is unknown but some experts suggested that there are questions with different weights, If you answer a difficult question you get a higher mark than when you answer an easy question you get a lower mark.
- third, in the USMLE exam there are experimental questions and they are not going to be counted.

However, stay tuned, we'll be launching a Score Predictor soon and that might help you a little bit in predicting your 99.
