Listening seeking advice on Pass Program

What do you think of Dr. Francis's Pass Program?

I listened to a clip, he has some unique insights, however, the pace is very slow, and I do not know why he keeps saying: "Andrea, do you understand?', Mary, do you understand? He shouts a lot, I ended up having a headache.

I am just wondering if I should invest the time and money for the program or not. Pls advise, thanks!

Any feedback on Dr. Francis PassProgram? This site's staff assigned a title for my post, but this is not the title I want to use, I want to get feedback about the program

My understanding is that even in person, this guy shouts a lot - that can be a plus if you have difficulty hearing...

From the You Tube clips, some of his comments are quite unique and helpful. I just want to know how it compares to Kaplan. I can only afford one program.

Default Response to the "shouting" Dr. Francis

I have watched many clips featuring Doctor Francis.

My reaction to every clip I have seen is one of awe. Dr, Francis does shout, absolutely. However, his shouting further solidifies the knowledge that he is imparting to the students. His characteristic laugh is both endearing and serves to make him more "human" and less rigid, as most medical profession professors tend to be.

He has an absolute knack for teaching the concepts that, once you grasp, can be applied to every other situation. Essentially, you do not need to relearn the information for every question. Case in point, his lecture regarding fat-soluble vs water-soluble / short half-life vs long half life drugs in pharmacology.

I put Dr. Francis in the same league as Dr. Conrad Fischer in terms of his teaching ability and the ease of which knowledge is retained by the viewer. I would absolutely recommend any student, USMLE or otherwise, to watch as many lectures by Dr. Francis as you can find. You won't even need to take notes half the time because the concepts by which he explains and teaches the material is easy to grasp.
