Post Step 1- Study plan-advice

Hi,

I am an IMG doing internship. I have 3 months and 2 weeks left to study and give step 1. So far, I have finished a third of pathoma, neuroanatomy, genetics, behavioral science and biostatistics, a third of physio and a third of biochem. I have got to finish biochem, anatomy, physio and pathoma, and read pharmac and microbiology. My plan so far has been to use kaplan notes with videos (which is what I did for all the subjects I have done so far except patho) + pathoma+FA+Uworld qbank. I am a bit confused as to how to go about it now, mostly because of the time constraint. I plan to finish kaplan notes+videos and pathoma in a month (is it doable?). I will have 2 and half months left after that. I am assuming uworld will take a month or a month and half if I pour all my time and energy into it. I am studying about 10 hours a day BTW. I have a couple doubts, any advice on this is appreciated.
1) Should I start Uworld with FA after I finish kaplan +pathoma or should I finish FA and then start UWorld? What are your thoughts on it? Would it be wise to start UWorld with first read of kaplan notes?
2)I have been told to spend more time on FA and do a quick read on Kaplan notes so I have just been doing them quickly, I am a week into studying BTW. I have read that some people do two and three reads of kaplan notes, would you advice that in the time I have got?
I need to get a decent score(240+/-10) in the time frame, anyone with prior experience in this regards please share you opinions and advice on this.

Hey.
As u have 2 months left so i think u should start doing uwolrd as soon as possible because its very important..
So subscribe UW for 1 month try to finish in 1 month ( 2blocks/day u can calculate)
When u review your blocks refer every Qs if possible with FA and annotate here most educational objectives or other important points..
Then next month do FA again..may be 2 times depend on you..

Yes, I would recommend doing UWorld asap. You can start with 2 blocks/day and then build it up to 3 a day (that way you'll finish it quickly) but remember not to compromise on those golden explanations! So read both the correct and wrong answer choices.

Regarding Kaplan in a month, I don't think this is possible. Perhaps if you were just to read the LNs or just watch videos, may be but I've never tried it.

Good luck!

Post Thanks

Thanks for the input. I have got very little time left so I am trying to figure the best way to do things. I have got about half of kaplan notes left. I suppose I will have to skim through it quickly.
Any ideas on DIT? I was wondering if I could ditch kaplan notes and get a move on with DIT+FA+Pathoma+Uworld+ethics cases. My goal is to get to above 230 in 3 and half months time.
I supplemented pathoma videos with RR notes so far and I have been doing offline questions (kaplan qbank, medutah path questions etc)

Well it depends on you. If you feel way too weak or are clueless (which I doubt) go for Kaplan, but I'd personally prefer the 2nd option just coz I'm using DIT now and I really like it and I adored Pathoma which is why I'll review that again. So I'd personally recommend the 2nd option coz you can definitely get >230 if you stick and nail this option.

Thanks!
I think I'll do DIT, take an nbme or do the Kaplan free diagnostic test and start uworld. Later I can focus on weak areas and go to Kaplan notes if I need to work more on certain topics
