How to calculate the offline NBME score

for the NBME .. there are 200 q ... and their score is 800 ... so theoretically each q equals to 4 points .... after u get the right answers of the 200 ... lets say 150 correct answers which is equal to 600/800
u go to the NBME tables and u will see that 600 is equal to 244 to three digit score that u might get in the real exam.

Each NBME question isn't weighted equally, so your formula wont work...

Sorry to say, but no one on this planet know's how to calculate it because no one know's the weights of each question.

That's why doing online NBME is better..

I would totally second that....and recommend u take the online NBME because you dont know for sure which question u got the right. The solved keys do have some mistake......

but as regards your question a rough estimate would be by

No. of correct questions x 1.4 = Expected 3 digit score.

For example if u get 150 questions right...

150 x 1.4= 210

You can't predict your score in offline NBME

I second the opinions posted by rulz and patelMD.

NBME offline versus NBME online

actually i am so confused !! is it more accurate to calculate my NBME to estimate the usmle score because the equation x1.45 gives me a score while the chart give me another higher one !!
