Question How many times you can extend eligibility period?

Hey everyone!
I failed my first attempt with USMLE1 last year. I paid for the second try in January and thought that I will take it in April. But I was not sure and I requested extension of my eligibility period for 3 more months.

Last year (2013) I extended my eligibility period twice without any problem. Today I tried to do this again but I could not find the link on my IWA profile.
I decided to read ECFMG booklet 2014 just in case. I found this information - "If you are unable to take USMLE Step 1/Step 2 CK during the eligibility period assigned to you, you may request a one-time extension. You may extend your eligibility period only through the next, contiguous eligibility period (the next eligibility period that does not overlap with your assigned eligibility period)."

Did they mean that I can't extend it anymore and I have to pay again? Or what?

Sorry, I checked one more time my financial history - I extended my eligibility period just one time last year. For some reason I thought I did it twice.

Very upset... I will have to pay again.
Be smarter next time.
