Default Microbiology question for you guys!

A 32-year-old man with AIDS develops a fever, headache, and a stiff neck. Examination of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shows 100 cells, which are mostly lymphocytes, glucose of 35 mg/dL, and protein of 75 mg/dL. Which of the following tests is most likely to confirm this patient’s diagnosis?

A. India ink
B. Latex particle agglutination
C. Molecular probe
D. Polymerase chain reaction
E. Tzanck smear

I choose
B. Latex particle agglutination (aka crag: cryptococcal antigen test). It's more sensitive.

according to labs CSF glucose is low, protein is high, and there are lymphocytes: which menas it is most likely fungal infection. In AIDS, cryptococcus is most likely culprit for meningitis, so imo it is B-latex particle agglutination.
