Biochemistry RBC Enzymes Question

Which of the following enzymes in the Red Blood Cells require Thiamine as a co-factor?
a- Pyruvate Dehydrogenase
b- Thiamine Pyrophosphate transketolase
c- Succintate Dehydrogenase
d- Alpha ketoglutorate Dehydrogenase
e- Propionyl Co A Carboxylase

both are used in Kreb's. RBCs metabolise glucose anaerobically...

Tender Loving Care For Nancy is a mnemonic for those three enzymes that use thiamine, lipoic acid, Co-A, FADH, and NADH from Niacin so Nancy is your Niacin

Oh, yes you are right, RBCs has no mitochondria. That's a nice question

ooh. I thought it would be a pneumonic but I tried to link it to thiamine dependent enzymes.
