Drug Beta Lactams Resistant To Beta Lactamases!

Most Beta Lactams are sensitive to beta lactamases (pencillinases),the exceptions can be memorized by;

Narrowest Spectrum Penicillins = Naficilin,Oxacilin & Methicilin

Widest Spectrum Cephalosporins = Cefepime(the only 4th generation drug)

therefore the narrowest spectrum penicillins and broadest spectrum cephalosporins are the beta lactamase resistant beta lactams.
