I don't know, it's a heap of trouble to be nineteen these days, JC - your poppa had pox, but you could get herpes!

(adenovirus, hepadnavirus, parvovirus B19, DNA, JC virus, papillomavirus, poxvirus, herpesvirus)

DNA viruses: hhappppy family: but first 2 and last 2 in the family are the weird ones (there is no family that is ideal)

H- herpes - WEIRD - ENVELOPED
H-hepadna - WEIRD- ENVELOPED
A - adeno
P - polyoma
P - papillo
P - parvo - WEIRD - only one SS -
P - pox - WEIRD - larges one - ENVELOPED
y

RNA viruses:
Remember these points:
1. Most RNA viruses are ENVELOPED
2. Most RNA viruses are SS (+)

3 categories:

1. NON ENVELOPED SS (-) Rio De janeiro Has Californian PERCHs

R - Rio - D- Ds RNA
H - Hepevirus
C - Calicivi
PERCHs - Picona - Polio, Echo, Rhino, Cox, HAV

2. ENVELOPED SS (+) Flavorful Corona Positively Tastes like Retro Envelope

F- Flavi
C- Corona
P- (+) strand
T - toga
R - retro
E - enveloped

3. ENVELOPED SS (-) Always Bring Polymerase Or Fail Negative Replication

A - Arena
B- Bunya
P - Paramyxo
O- ortho
F - filo
N - (-) strand
R - rhabdo

hope it is not too confusing

Default DNA virus mnemonic

Well, we all know that these virus are HHAPPPY. But how to remember which one is linear or which one is circular? Which one is enveloped and which one is naked? Here is how I do (It works really good and is very easy to remember): Its kind of a mathematic thing, just think that "1" = linear and "0" = circular, and it will look like this in your FA:

1-0-1-1-0-0-1
H-H-A-P-P-P-P
y

Like this I can remmeber that 11 and 00 are naked.

H - 1 = herpesviruses, linear

H - 0 = hepadnavirus, circular

A - 1 = adenovirus, linear, naked

P - 1 = parvovirus, linear, naked

P - 0 = papillomavirus, circular, naked

P - 0 = polyomavirus, circular, naked

P - 1 = poxvirus, linear

y
