John Barone is the funniest craziest medical lecturer I've ever seen in my life
He will engrave the memory in your brain forever He has a wide base of fans See this Facebook page Barone Rocks! (Dr. John Barone . . . Hollywood's favorite pathologist) | Facebook I think he's better than Goljan In addition is Goljan is famous for audio not for video so we don't really know him very well |

Dr. Ed Golijan is one of the greatest pathology minds of our time. He teaches right now with Falcon. B/w you and I, I'm surprised you've never heard of him at all

Edward Goljan can teach you the subject without visual effects just listen to him
John Barone is interesting with his funny gestures and facial expressions and the "sexy" stuff For serious traditional students, choose Goljan For hippie students, choose Barone |

They really are both excellent, but I think Dr. Goljan is the best thing about Falcon and Dr. Barone is among the many good things about Kaplan. Oddly enough though - Dr. Barone is a a little out there for Kaplan and Dr. Goljan is a little conservative for Falcon, so depending on what your style is, either can really make a difference in your USMLE prep. If you can do both, I'd recommend that too! |

I suggest to go with Goljan. But if you really want to do both, here is a good suggestion. How bout you watch Barone in twice the speed on his videos, pausing only at times when you don't understand, and then listen to Goljan while you are travelling around. Put him in your car, your mp3, go for jogs with Goljan etc. This way you can maximize your time and efficiency.

I registered just to vote for Goljan. I've had the experience of Barone. Barone is more of an entertainer than a teacher. Yes, he's funny, but at the end of the day, I just want the information that I need, not jokes. He's almost like a professional comedian, which is why people love him so much. I like him too, but in terms of USMLE step 1 prep, I'd go with Goljan.
