Warning! It starts from day one

Prep starts from day one in school and ends after finishing the third or fourth trimester.
But if you are asking about the focused pre-exam prep then yes these options seem right.

Arrow It takes 2 years at least

Medical students will never be able to prep fully for USMLE Step 1 within these proposed options.
They start day one with the exam in the back of their heads and keep reading for at least full 4 semesters before taking it.
That's the story in US at least

hellow,
i want to revive this thread coz i have questions regarding time.
so how much time(by months) should i devote for step 1 knowing that:
* i can only afford 5hours per day since i'm planning to do the exam while i am an intern.
* i am aiming for 250+ (i want to do surgery)
* i am very weak in basic sciences and i forgot almost everything.
thank you in advance

I think you have to do one subject and calculate the same time for each subject plus some time for tests may be the same amount.
