Default Best Physiology Book For USMLE Step 1

Post and Poll Options were last updated on November 2nd, 2013.

In this poll we vote for the Best Physiology review book specific for the USMLE Step 1 Exam.

Choice of Books Listed in the Poll
You will notice that larger textbooks of physiology are not listed here, we are voting for those books that are specifically useful in the USMLE step 1 exam prep.
The books listed above are useful for Med school students during their med school years as well as graduates who are preparing for the step 1 exam.

Books that have only questions with no review of physiology are not listed. Exception to that is the Case Files series because that's a review book presented in cases format. Similarly Flashcards are not listed.
Books that are outdated (8 years or older) and that do not have updated editions also get removed from the poll, their votes are also deleted in the process.
If we have missed a Step 1 Physiology Review book, please post about it in the mainstream Step 1 Forum and we'll add it to this poll.

No Replies!
You will also notice that we move away or delete replies to this thread. This is because we want the focus on the poll above rather than discussion and comments. You can always check our Physiology Tag for discussions about physiology prep and books for the step 1 exam.

Who should vote?
Please do not vote if you haven't used any of the books above. Artificial inflation of votes by book authors publishers will be detected and removed. Votes that are older than 18 months are automatically deleted.

Why books are linked in the poll options?
Book links are periodically updated to the latest editions and will take you to Amazon pages where you can purchase those books. Books that are not available in Amazon cannot be listed.

To find out about other Best Books for USMLE Review, please check our Best Books Page. In that page you will also find list of latest editions.

Happy voting!

Costanzo Physiology is really easy to read and gives you a solid understanding of the core concepts.

Default Best physiology resource for step 1?

I'm struggling with physiology for step 1 and thinking I might use a product I just found called Physeo. Has anyone heard of Physeo.com? From their site and sample videos it looks pretty sweet. Very similar style to Khan Academy/Pathoma. What other resources are out there for step 1 physiology? It seems like most of the resources are books that are dense and go into way too much detail / take way too much time. On the other hand, there are videos that seem way too general and are completely unhelpful for step 1. I will definitely use Uworld/NBMEs and other qbanks but so far Physeo seems to be the best thing out there to learn physiology directly tailored to step 1. I'm thinking of purchasing a 1 year subscription. Price seems pretty reasonable and it comes with a book. Any thoughts?
