Default Best USMLE Step 1 Live Class Prep Course?

We have the Best USMLE Step 1 Question Bank Poll and we have the Best USMLE Step 1 Review Book Poll and several other polls regarding Step 1 Prep.

Yet. This is the first poll that's dedicated for live class center preparation courses. Courses that you have to go to class and listen to teachers and faculty.

Let's see what do you think guys.

We'd also appreciate if in addition to voting why you chose one course over others.

Please let us know if we are missing any course so that we add it to the poll options.

Happy voting!

Default None is needed

I seriously think that none of the above is needed. We can do it on our own using books and study partners.

But if you are asking which one of them is the best then I think Kaplan is the best and the most popular.

Kaplan has the widest distribution of prep centers and they are even available overseas.

All others have limited locations and their faculty are not well USMLE oriented as Kaplan faculty.

Pass program is where its at.

It teaches the concepts that you need to know in this day and age of the USMLE.

Kaplan is good, but its only memorization and doesn't hit on the concepts like pass does.

Stop Princeton Review is not good for USMLE

I just want to mention here that Princeton Review has lost its popularity and nobody is using it anymore.
They are much better in GMAT and LCAT but not for USMLE anymore

Falcon Reviews are getting better every day.
They now have great subject-specific online reviews and great iPhone access.

Highly recommended

Unhappy Best USMLE Step 1 Live Course

Although Kaplan is the best of all these but unfortunately they are at the same time the most expensive of all of these

I wouldnt waste my resources on such preparatory courses just like i said on the externship provider poll! We are lucky that we have enough guidance, books, aids, videos and lots of usefull stuff online to pull this on our own!

Thumbs Up I chose DIT

Thank you for this useful poll.
I firmly believe that DIT is the best option out of these.
They have reasonable prices and they take you through the High Yield info fairly quickly.

Question which course is best for me?

Hi,
I am an IMG ,graduated 7 yrs ago, with very little or no clinical experience although I do some have teaching experience in med school ( i taught Biochem for 4yrs).

I'm married with a baby boy & except for studying for my lectures ( & haven't done that since last 2 yrs )
I am quite out of the studying scene, forgotton a lot of stuff & wondering which is the best online/ live prep course to suit my needs. I get distracted studying alone, have a hard time retaining concepts & recalling them & completely unfamiliar with the testing format of USMLE.

I'd appreciate the advise of my peers on this matter, thanks

Thumbs Up USMLEagle

I took USMLEagle! It is a great review course! I think it is one of the best around... The professor has the course set up in a way that cater the needs of different people with different academic backgrounds. I truly loved the course. The professor is amazing! She teaches the course so you will know exactly how they ask questions on the exam. She gives you great methods to memorizing and conceptualizing hard topics! My school had a horrible physiology department and I hated physiology. Once I took her course, I really enjoy many of the difficult topics that I use to hate in physiology and many of the other courses.....
