I personally belief Qbanks should be started soon. But you need to at least study your all material once and apply your knowledge to qbank. And after doing qbank when you read your notes, FA again, you gonna grasp those things more efficiently. I choose the option B.

For now it seems that the most people will start after first reading. That make sense, but I just read from Andreas Carl and he recommend to start questions right now. Maybe I'll anyway stick to the plan and start them in january.

I think if you start before you cover any of the material, it's difficult to understand the explanations and make integrations. Plus you won't score well and this might make you feel not very motivated. After you've gone through the material at least once, even if you don't get the questions right things will look a little familiar and you'll be better able to use the explanations to really learn the material.

Default Start Immediately

Your question practices should start parallel to your reading.
You'll never know how to read and focus without doing questions to recognize what they want and how they ask.
Probably, your read a simple question book in the beginning then move on the serious qbanks later on during your prep.

- After you have read one time the material.
This will save too much time as you will already be familiar with the books n be able to find and go back to the information that u need in your book while answering the questions.
Also if you start from the early beginning doing questions, you might feel that they are really difficult while they are not if you have background about the subject!
However, I encourage those in medical school to do a qbanks along with rotations n then do it again when preparing for exams, this way you can get high scores indeed.
good luck

Qbanks should be started early on in the prep, it will let you know how to read.

I Think u shud start them right now.I am also taking the exam in August.Right now im doing UW subjectwise with my 3rd read of all stuff.
What i have found is that UWORLD has 50%newer concepts and details.I think u need time to cram these things before exam so start now.I started it with 3rd read but now i feel i shud have done it with 2nd read once.Better late than never :P.UW Is awesome and wayyyy better than any other qbank .
