I read your email today on this forum.

I dont think that you are the oldest forum member if you know my year of graduation.
I am turning 52 this year, graduated in 1988 from Pakistan, came to Canada, did ultrasound diploma, started working in u/s since 2004 to date. Now, I am thinking very seriously about usmle exams. But still cannot decide if its going to take me anywhere in terms of starting the preparation(dont even know how to, what books, how to register and all the very basics-probably most of forum members would find it difficult to believe that I dont know).

Let me know if you have any input/suggestions for me. Should I even look into attempting usmle at all. I will really appreciate your reply. Thanks.

Batool

Hi Maha,
I just registered to this Forum and saw your message..It is really interesting and encouraging the old IMGs to post their information and questions about the USMLE exams...
I am 40 yo and have taken my CS back in 2011 and passed it,then I had my son and couldn't study cause I had to take care of him..cause I don't have any help except my husband who's is the only person working in the house...
Right now,I am sending my son to school and decided to start studying for the step 1 which I have idea about it but already forgotten....we need to encourage each other to study for the steps by studying together by Skype or any other ways....I just started reading the Anatomy from Kaplan books..
Thanks to your courage
Lala
