Question

I am a 2005 yr grad. Mother of 3 children SAH mom now. Dreaming to tackle this exam. Got a lot of support from the forum members to kickstart my preperation. But I am always scared that having no USCE , no research or anything stellar on my CV would be detrimental but then again lets see...

Default Residency program for old IMGs

Hi There,

I dont want to disappoint you. I am an old IMG too. My question is before you have started your hard work, have you checked how many programs are available for old IMGs to apply. Many programs have cut off point of 5 years, some have 10 years. If you have already done the research, would you please share the list with me.
I have done research regarding the graduation years for family medicine in states of Texas, Florida, Minnesota, New York and Connecticut. Most program have cut of point of either 3 years or 5 years. Some didnt have clear cut off point in their website applicant criteria section. So I wrote them, but unfortunately they are coming back with the answer of 5 years cut off point. I am still waiting to hear back from few uni and community program.

Thanks
