Surgery Arm Symptoms + Posterior Neurological Signs

A classic case scenario when the patient complaints of upper limb neurological symptoms in the form of coldness and tingling when using the arm (specially when elevating the arm) and suddenly faint or express posterior neurological signs such as vertigo and blurred vision.

This is Subclavian Steal Syndrome in which a stenosis of the subclavian artery proximal to the bifurcation of the vertebral artery leads to reversal of blood flow from the vertebral artery to the upper limb thus "stealing" blood from the brain circulation.

A classical application of anatomical basics to real life clinical scenarios.
