I thought the exam was tough. Some questions seemed vague, had to narrow down to two answer choice.
In first round of UW questions my average was fluctuating between 50- 60, read all the questions thoroughly and repeated whole qbank one more time. Then I did Kaplan q bank. Revised all my material again. My advise donít waste too much time on low-yield subjects.

My prep advise
Kaplan books
First aid step 2 ck
USMLE secrets
Most likely diagnosis step 2 ck Ė a great book for step 2

I didn't care about NBME much because I heard all kinds of stories... My suggestion don't let it crush you, but take it to find your weakness and work on them. If I have to do it again, I will probably divide my time reading most likely diagnosis book and doing Uworld questions.

low-yield subject such as preventive medicine, ethics, and biostat. But that doesn't mean that you should ignore these subjects because these can help you get cpl of points to pass or increase your percentile. Just don't spend lots of time on these, I would say if you spend 1-2 hours every other day to review all of these subjects together, you should be good.

It is like this, 40-45% of question are from IM, around 15 -20% OB/GYN, around around 15 % peds, 5-10 % psych, and rest of the exam mix of surgery, ethic and rest.

So should spend most of the reviewing IM.

But make sure to do lots and lots of question, because that where you learn your weakness, and strenght. And work more on your weakness. Then again, that is why I prefer most likely diagnosis step 2ck book, it takes less time to review one book, then reading 2-3 books, and spend more time doing questions.

Dear Forum members,

"donewithCk" and "Renuk" is the same person. Who also happen to be the author of the book he/she is promoting.

It would be better if you just come out and simply state your book name and post the link and let the people decide. If your book is good, I'm sure everyone will purchase it. No doubt about that.

What made me comment is the fact that this person making up stories about his/her exam experience. You are all over the other forums too with multiple id's and emails. Please STOP misleading people.

Wish you all the best with your book. Thanks.

Dear elms,

I have no idea what you are talking about. I shared my experience.

funny thing is i don't think I have ever seen you responding to Kaplan and MTBs, which is also published by Kaplan, fake comments. they all have one thing in common and that is they all score 242 or around that score. IF you want i can point that out.

I just checked the contact e-mail address in the book. If any one looking for sample e-mail them at USMLESTEP23@GMAIL.COM . I am sure that will be able to send you free samples. Even I bought one after looking at the samples..

@donewithck = renuk = Mr Dhesi,

I dont need to point fingers at established companies like Kaplan or DIT or Falcon who are in business for long time with real results. There might be some fake people leaving reviews or bashing them but majority (over 90%) of those people are real.

In fact you yourself studied those books from Kaplan and I have all the info about your activities on other websites. Will be more than happy to post all those links including your many exam experiences, stories etc if anyone wants.

Amninder, just post a link of your book (which might be good) but dont just go around and make up stories how you cleared this exam and all. Also with multiple id's keep praising your book and your posts at the same time.

LET OTHERS DECIDE like i said before. Your book is available on all major sites such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. If it's good and better than MTB's, it will sell. No doubt. I am not bashing your book at all Mr Dhesi.

Good Luck.
