Default URGENT Advice needed- exam on July 28

*My exam date is July 28 & I know you are thinking that it's too late to ask for advice but please read my entire post. I need your honest advice .

UW first run : 78% Subjectwise timed
UW second run 87% Time random*
NBME 6 - 510( 240) - 5 weeks back*
NBME 4 - 540 ( 246) - 2 weeks back*

UWSA : 226 - 1 week back*
Throughout my UWSA , there was loud construction outside my room & It was very distracting. I had to try very hard to focus but the loud non-stop noise made it very difficult. Unfortunately , they started with all the noise just after I had started with my first block . I had intended to take just 5 min breaks between blocks like my NBMEs but I had to*keep pausing throughout my exam . I wanted to take 4 straight blocks, instead my exam got spread out over 6 hours instead of completing in 4 hours due to so many breaks,Got really stressed out & nervous as a result.

Previously, after *my NBME scores I was a bit relieved ( since NBME scores are supposed to be more predictive ) but after my UWSA score I was really shaken up .*I kept revising as per my plan & doing UW questions but UWSA score was stressing me out.*
Yesterday, I decided to do the FRED (Free 150 ) to see how I score.*
Unfortunately I scored 84% ( 110/131 ) . I was really hoping to score *87% to get some sense of confidence specially with my exam just a day away.

Honestly, I have completely lost my confidence & am starting to doubt my preparation, my UW average , my NBME scores Am a nervous wreck *& contemplating to postpone my exam .*
*I really wanted to give my exam by July 28 so my score is not delayed . However *with 229 in UWSA & 84% in FRED I am scared I will fail (*
Please give me your advice. Should I postpone the exam ? How much will I score if give the exam on 7/28 ?

What would you do if you were in my shoes ?*

Hey!

Clearly you could not concentrate properly during ur UWSA so probably it effected ur score. But ur free 150 score got jumbled up too ,may be it was just the nervousness from low UWSA. i would say postpone it by 1 week although it would not be of much help studies wise but at least ul be less shaken up and relaxing a bit my help u regain the lost confidence. Getting a good score will take u looong way rather hurrying up and ending up with a bad score. Lots of people are giving their exam late including me, it effects the application but not as much as a bad score would!

I hope it helps. Good luck

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I really need to hear someone else's perspective . After my NBME scores I thought I was ready. Guess not yet.

Thanks again.

I went ahead and cancelled the exam date. I was in a dilemma but decided to be safe than sorry.

Since I have already taken NBME 4 ,6 , UWSA & Free 150; what are my options to assess my readiness before the exam ? Which assessment tests can I take ? I don't plan to take NBME 7 since its notorious for dropping the score by 20 points.

Would appreciate suggestions from the forum members.

Shouldn't have cancelled man. You would have scored 240-250 in the real thing no doubt.

if you cancelled it then you might as well take nbme 7 or 3. 7 is supposed to be more realistic in terms of current test material.

That's what I thought until I gave the Free 150. UWSA score is questionable due to the circumstances but I couldn't understand what went wrong in the Free 150.

Was too stressed out after that. Couldn't take any chances. I was starting to feel I will fail

How predictable is NBME 3 ? I was doing NBME 7 offline & have done 1 block already so that's not an option.

I just came out of the exam, I find it to be honest more a mixture of UW and kaplan style, It wasn't easy and I totally feel it is unpredictable at all
