Help Step 2 CK in 6 weeks??

Hi guys, it seems like an "Mission Impossible" movie!

I've just finished my step 1 and CS when I found out that if I could take CK in the next 6 wks, I would be able to apply this years to the program I wish to.

I'm IMG, graduated 8 yrs ago, actively practice medicine until last year. I've just read 2 of Kaplan Notes, IM and OB, I have Surgical background.

Do you think I could do it?

How should I study? As I won't have time for trials.

Which indicator of readiness for the exam? (Aiming 250)

All suggestions are welcome!

hi, anh Huy . I'm studying step 2ck,too but I've just passed step 1 two months ago. If you want to match this year, I think you should focus on uworld in 5 weeks, then take NBME 6 or uwsa. You had clinical experience, you can do it . Good luck anh Huy . How was your step 1 ?

Hi, I also feel relieved and blesses that I'm not alone!

However, I did a huge search yesterday, most people with short of time like us would go more or less straight to UW, together with book for reference. I feel that sounds a good plan.

I share your concern! Of course, our chances will be limited, but there're some programs that have very late deadlines for applications. Do a good search on FREIDA or MatchaResident! Then pray and hope fir the best!

I'm joining this boat and panicking a bit.. or a lot actually

i've done one read of KLN and most of MTBs.
i'm not sure if it's time to stop reading books and organizing my information and just focus on questions?!

what do you guys think is the best diagnostic test to reserve for last? and what should be taken first?

good luck all!

I did!

I took the exam today!

I must say it's an exhausting campaign but it worths.

I feel relieved now, don't care much about the result.

For reference, here're my 5 and a half weeks preparation evaluations

NBME 4 - 2 weeks ago: 233
UWA form 1 - 1 week ago: 253
UW 1 round: 71%
FRED - yesterday: 91%

Hi! Sorry for the delay.

I can say that UW cover well almost all the topics being asked in the exam.

High Yield topics, in my experience, are: pulmonary embolism, vitb12 deficiency, dyslipidemia treatment guideline, hereditary immunodeficiency syndromes, and preventive medicine, esp adult vaccines, and HIV problems.

Good luck friends!

Wow you did a lot in such short time! Good luck!

Did the review books you used help at all? Or would you just stick to doing more questions? Was there a lot of Step 1 questions on this test too?
