Arrow Am done with the physically and mentally draining CK!

Hi guys,
I took my CK today and I felt hell when I got out, there were 2 difficult blocks wherein I felt " can I even score correct on half of these????"
I felt terrible coming out. Most of the threads I read said that CK was easier esp. If one has finished step 1, I am like whaaaaaaatt, well not from my experience today it wasn't.
Now the agony of waiting begins.
Include me in your prayers guys and goodluck to everyone.

Thanks surg.. It's just overwhelming, the way you try to guess and doubt on most of your answers, i wasnt " like that" during step 1. Haha. Thanks again.

The exam was more of im 2/3 and the 1/3 - ob, peds surg. 50% of the questions were lengthy, and some of the choices ive seen for the 1st time ( then u doubt if there really is such entity) . Its physically and mentally draining. I always finished 9-15 mins ahead but id have 4-5 q's skipped plus marked q's that im not even sure of. I was very uncertain for most parts of the exam. It was structured closely to uworld but the degree of difficulty was somewhat more than what ive encountered in uworld, especially for psychiatry q's. If your principles are weak, you won't look so good.

This isn't unusual feeling. It's over and it's actually such a relief!

Good luck!

well lets say 50% of the questions (with labs) were lengthy occupying 3/4 of the screen, the rest were 3-6 liners. I think they more of u world, nbme ques were somewhat shorter. from my experience the structure of the history and labs were more predicatble in the qbanks and nbmes than it was the real exam. the real exam was just like an overlap of everything u knew and some questions were just plain vague and WTF. i wish i was exaggerating, but again, from my experience i really felt it was difficult. ( i took step 1 before this, i didn't find it too difficult)

So UW is enough to be ready for the exam or I have to do Kaplan Q-Bank?
And what's the best review book; Master the Boards, Step-Up, Secrets or First Aid?

Well as for the qbank uworld is good i havent done kaplan so i cant compare. A for the books i used kaplan im and peds during the past and found them not too distant from fa really ,for surg i read kapaln, ob and psych from fa. Basically i have used fa except for surg, and my recall of kaplan of im and peds when i used it a year ago. The other booksni didnt use so icant say. I think ul understand me when you are there that many if the questions had a lot of distractors so solidify your core principles in diagnosis and management. Sleep wekk the nigt before because its really gonna suck your energy out.
