Poison 15 year old acting "strange"

A 15-year-old female presents from summer camp after acting “strange”. It was believed that she was seen eating a plant. She is flushed and warm to the touch. She is tachycardic, febrile, tachypnic. Her pupils are dilated. Mucus membranes are dry. You start intravenous fluids and give rectal acetaminophen. A urine drug screen is sent. What other medication is the most appropriate treatment for her condition?

a. Atropine
b. Penicillamine
c. Deferoxamine
d. Naloxone HCl
e. Physostigmine

Answer is E. She was eating Atropa Belladona which acts like atropine M blocker and enters the cns . U have to use Physostigmine as the antidote. It will penetrate blood-brain barrier and reverse symptoms.
