the ABGs show a respiratory alkalosis...........pCo2 is pretty low...< 33mmHg.........so the primary disorder is respiratory alkalosis. The pt has developed PE or it is coz of anxiety.

Answer D. Respiratory Alkalosis. The patient has an elevated pH which indicates alkalosis. A low CO2 is consistent with a respiratory etiology for the alkalosis. Causes may include fever, pain, anxiety, pulmonary or neurologic conditions.
