Default Good Score

In your opinion what is a good score for usmle Step 2 ck to get into a match.Please post your valuable suggestions.

as high as possible, lol.
It depends on what speciality you want to go into (what u're aiming for) and if you're a US or non-US IMG. I think the ''safe'' score for most applicants is anything above 230 or 240. but if you want to go into Radiology residency for example, you would need to score a lot higher.

Page 13 has the average scores for step 2ck, for US and for IMG applicants.
''Overall, U.S. IMG applicants had mean USMLE Step 2 CK scores of 224 (s.d. = 19) and non-U.S. IMG applicants had mean scores of 233 ''
Dont forget step 1 scores too, step 1 score matters a lot. if you score low on that, you might want to aim a lot higher than the average for step 2

Thanking you.I heard some specialities give more importance to step 2 ck scores than step 1.Is that true?
