Help 200 In NBME and 70% in UW!

Hi, I took nbme form 4 today and got a 370 (200)..... my average on UWorld is 70% after 700 questions... Do these scores correlate? My exam is on July 27th (in 10 days) and i have no time to delay the exam. I am super worried about that NBME score.... gr. What USMLE score does a 70% on UWorld correlate to? Thanks any advice/motivation would be appreciated

Arrow Believe in NBME

NBME is more accurately predictive of your performance than UW.

70% in UW should mean 230-240 in the exam
while 200 in NBME means 200 in the exam

So there's discrepancy, and you should believe in the NBME not the UW.

I'd say finish UW and review your material and do another NBME and see where you stand.

If it still predicts 200 then you will be taking high risk by taking the exam.

Your NBME should at least predict 215-220 to guarantee a pass.

but sabio, some members have been posting recently that NBME is underestimating their scores and UWSA is much more accurate in predicting. What can you say of this? I am particularly interested because my exam is in 5 weeks and i am in 30 % of uworld now, will be doing UWSA and an NBME (please advise on which one because the poll is not in favour of any single form and i can afford only 1) in the last week before the exam. What do you think?

I spent the whole day yesterday thinking about this after the great difference between my UW and NBME scores, and I came up with this list :
1- UW is about 2300 questions. NBME is 200. UW is more statistically representative
2- UW is more than 50 blocks. NBME is 4 blocks. There is higher chance that you will not perform in a manner that reflects your best in NBME because of urgent conditions ( you may be hungry or tired that day! ) .
3- CK pool is changing constantly, so as the UW pool. NBME forms have been out there for years now and no changes are made to them during this period, especially for step 2 ( where there is only 4 forms )
4- I know many people who practiced only UW and did well. However, we have little experience in people who had good scores in UW and bad scores in NBME and still did the exam. Most of them will postpone the exam as soon as they get the NBME results!

what do you think about this guys? do you think my list is valuable ?

im hopin step 2 ck will be more like the UWorld rather than NBME... but for step 1 I remember the two NBME's i took for that were much more close to the actual exam than the UWorld questions were.. Is NBME Form 2 easier than form 4?? I dont want to take it before my exam and do bad on it...

You are right about the whole interpretation but NBME does test on the core subjects of equal difficulty...so far all i have heard is NBME is the best...Same thing happened to me...I got a 215 in UWSA and a 198 in nbme 2...so i freaked out and changed my august 3rd to 24th....I just hope its a freakish accident but regardless i wouldnt leave it to chance so like Fischer says..Its better to delay a whole year than fail or even pass with a really bad score....

P.S....Does anyone know whats the bottom line score to be considered good on world questions..timed unused last 10 blocks at least..Plz it would help alot in putting things in context....
